Instructions
Gameplay - The objective of the game is to score as many points as possible by quickly connecting letters to make words. Click on a letter in the left-hand column and drag across the grid to connect one letter from each column. You can drag up one row, down one row or stay on the same row as the letter from the previous column. The words must connect between the matching colors that are on the left and right side of the grid. You can also drag back in the reverse direction to change some of the letters that you’ve already selected. Release your mouse to see if your word is correct. *Please note that not all legitimate words that connect between matching colors will be accepted. Only the intended words that will allow you to complete the level will work. Other valid words will not be accepted because they most often use letters that are needed to complete the other words.

Levels - You must make all of the words while using each letter one time in order to pass a level. Each level will either have more words or longer words than the previous level. Although the levels gradually become more difficult in this respect, the time will increase by three seconds for each ensuing level. If time runs out before you pass a level, the game is over. Pass all sixteen levels to complete the game. Once you’ve completed the game, you can still challenge yourself to get a higher total score by earning more points per level the next time you play.

Scoring - The more quickly you complete a level, the more points you will receive for the time bonus. The time bonus equals the remaining seconds multiplied by twenty. For example, if you complete a level with ten seconds remaining, you will receive 200 points for the time bonus. You will also receive points for each word that you complete. Each word is worth the amount of letters it contains multiplied by ten. For example, each three-letter word is worth thirty points. Your score will get reduced by thirty points each time you use a hint. Your level score is the points you receive for words minus the hints you have used. At the end of each level, you will see your time bonus, your level score and your total score for the entire game.

Hints - Receive a hint by either pressing the space bar or clicking the hint button. Each hint will reveal the correct color for one random letter from one of the middle columns. You will begin each level with zero hints and will receive a new one after every seven seconds. The hint button will be lit up whenever you have at least one available and will show the number of hints you have in parentheses.

Restart - Sometimes, when more than one of the same letter appears in a column, you may accidentally block yourself by using one of those letters that was intended for another word. When it becomes clear that one or more of the words on the level have become impossible to connect because the letters in that word have become separated from each other, you must click the restart button before time runs out in order to start the level over. The restart button only appears when there are two words left to be completed on a level. You can click the restart button whenever it appears, but keep in mind that it will penalize you by reducing your available time when you retry the level. Although getting blocked only happens occasionally, you can avoid it by choosing carefully when there are two or more of the same letters in a column.
